Tosh 32ZP48 digital audio kaput

Hi all as title says the digital inputs (coax and optical) have recently stopped working despite trying with several different sources and cables. The audio settings are all ok. I've also noticed audio interference on EXT2 blue screen, ie when no external sources are active, which corresponds to whatever channel the tv is tuned to. This can be remedied by removing the EXT2 tv connection so it could well be a poorly shielded scart. I don't know if this problem is related or if it existed before the digital audio input problem.

Is there an audio module that an engineer could easily change. I could probably live without the digital audio input as i have a decent amp, but it was very convenient to plug some headphones into the tv late at night rather than use my somewhat user unfriendly amp . However I'm concerned that the problem could escalate if i don't get it sorted now.

Thanks

My 36ZP48 optical stopped working for no reason as well. Luckily my coax is still ok so just swapped over. I think getting it fixed would cost more than its worth especially as you already have an amp. I am looking to get an amp soon to replace the inbuilt system.

Seen lots of these sets, but not come across this fault before fellas. Not a known fault with Tosh either. Sorry.

It'd need expert attention.

Thanks g.o.t and kevIW, I have breakdown cover for it but i'm not sure if a minor(ish) problem like this would be considered a breakdown. (plus i've only recently had the DFS replaced so they might up my premium if i claim again )

I'll see how i get on with the amp
