Post Taking a TV from England to Greece

I have a Sony KV-32FX68U and have moved from the UK where i purchased it to Greece.
I have installed the channels and i recieve perfect pictures but no sound. Someone told me i have to change a chip so i can hear the audio, is this true and if so, whats it going to cost me?
Thanks in advance...

Nope, use "Manual Programme Preset" as detailed on page 13 of the user manual and under "System" just change it from "PAL i" to "B/G" and then you should have the sound system for Greece.
If you don't have the user manual you can download it from here...enter the model no in the search box as KV-...and then you'll find your model in the list which appears...it's the last one in the list under "KV-32"

I remember well the good old days when you had to adjust the ferrite slug in a sound IF coil

Set the language then see if the system option is available under manual programme preset.

In that case it can only be done within the service menu...which is a dangerous and scary place for the uninitiated...one wrong button push can screw up your set.
A TV engineer local to where you are can do it...just tell them it's a KV-32FX68U (UK Model) and the "Destination" option within the service menu needs changing.
