Samsung F.View Digital Channels Stopped Working

My Samsung WS32Z419D TV is just over 1 year old and the Freeview digital side seems to have developed a fault. When I turn the TV on in digital mode it remains fixed on BBC1, I can't change the channel or invoke any of the Digital menus. If I switch the TV over to analogue mode, the analogue channels and menus work fine, but if I switch the TV back to digital mode, the screen is frozen. In analogue mode, if I select the "Plug & Play" feature, the TV configures all the analogue channels, but then fails to configure the digital channels. Does anyone have any idea what might have happened and if there is an easy fix?
Thanks.

Had the exact same thing happen to mine fortunately it was under a year old still under currys warranty so sent away to tech guys, after 2 weeks tv came back - exactly the same thing! Few harsh words later and they took it again and eventually sorted it, apparently they replaced the digital freeview part, no problems since.

Re: Samsung F.View Digital Channels Stopped Working

I sent an email to Samsung UK. A response arrived first thing the following morning asking me to ring one of their technicians. I did this and he walked me through resetting the software via the service menu. That fixed the problem, so top marks to Samsung customer service.

YUp it is just a problem that when the tv automatically updates itself with the new Sammy software and scans for new freeview channels and services, the download is either corrupt, or gets interrupted whilst updating, by the power being switched off. It should automatically return to the old settings when switched on, but as those of you with router's(and that includes me) know's, it isn't always that simple.

The solution however is, a simple reset to the factory settings will cure the problem and when the tv boots up again it's scans for all the channels and servies afresh in setup.
