Been looking at both T.V's.

Have seperate Amp and speakers so are more concerned about pictire quality than sound. Know Phillips has pixel plus but would this be a lot better than the panasonics. I also heard that Phillips use Panasonic tubes.

Have heard there has been problems with both sets, what would people recommend and why??

ps does the 9527 have 2 rgb scarts or not as they aren't marked on the back of the tv next to the scarts.

can't recommend the Philips because I don't have one

but I do have a Panny , TX32PB50 , great picture especially blacks

when paired with my Tosh SD210E

I did have the buzzing problem but that got fixed , no complaints since, Geometry is ok, no vertical lines etc

I don't use the onboard sound as i have my SR5200 and M72 package

But I would compare it with a DAVS300 for instance (ok for some)

I spent a year looking for a TV going around in circles, and ended up settling for the Panny tx36pb50 (it was the first one I looked at when I started). I considered the Philips for about 1months but couldn't get anywhere with a decent picture to demo it.
I didn't like the pixel plus because I saw to many jagged edges on things like athletics, football, and rowing. Wasn't fussed on th e slow menu system either.
More importantly neither did my girlfriend ............on second thoughts maybe I should swap to the Philips, maybe it will stop the little lady watching Eastenders.....

I have heard some horrid stories about Panasonic build quality as well. Mine is waiting for an engineer to come to take a look at a slight pinkish bottom left hand corner...

If your after a 28", don't go for the Panny, but I can recommend the 32"

Well, I am still waiting for an engineer. The problem being that Panasonic service dealers will not touch a TV under manufacturers warranty, unless it was bought from them. Not in the Cardiff area anyway, ironic as the TV's are made 3 miles from my house.

I am waiting for the TV to be collected, and returned to techtronics. They have explained that I will have to pay £100 for the delivery back to myself......
Once I quoted the sales of goods act and the distance selling act, the cost was retracted by the lovely customer services dept.

The saga continues..........for a month now............

the repair of my 32pb50 was carried out by a company in Clevedon , they had it for about a week
