Smelly Telly

Ok, maybe a strange one, but I have an embarrasing problem... my 4ish year old Sony CRT is smelly!

When i walk into the room, i can actually smell it. I have compared the smell to a marmite/yeasty type of smell, and if any visitors come, my opening line is "its the TV which smells".. It's not an electrical smell, or even burning, it just smells of yeast!

Has anyone else had this problem, and shall I report this under my free extended guarantee?!

Re: Smelly Telly

Maybe its a loose connection on a circuit board causing heat to melt the epoxy or insulation , or maybe its just the smell of burning dust ? Either way it wants looking into.
