can 36ZP18 take 1080i?

Have a question regarding Toshiba 36ZP18

Can it take 1080i through the component input?

I know it has the potential to scan high enough to display a 1080i signal. (it line doubles a 576i signal).

Has anyone tried it?

I don't have a 1080i source with component out to test it.

Simple answer is NO and if you check the instructions I believe even progressive scan is not available to PAL users.

I know progressive (575p) is not possible, but just thought on the off chance it might just take 1080i.

Can it take NTSC progressive then?
