Sanyo CRT - How do you access the service menu?

After spending hours fixing a geometry mistake I made in the service menu of my blurry Sony set, I'm willing to risk trying to fix the geometry on my crappy 32" Sanyo set. I *think* I'll be able to at least stop stuff curving inwards a little.

Google isn't being my friend, I can't seem to the find the correct remote control command to access the service menu. Does anyone know the Sanyo remote command?

If you need me to be more specific about the model number, ask, I'll get behind it and check later when I'm more awake. It's just the crappy 32" C-something model that's amazingly still in stock at some places.

Re: Sanyo CRT - How do you access the service menu?

You would think someone on such a huge forum would've made the mistake of buying one Sanyo TV in the past, wouldn't you?

At the moment I'm stuck with this set. I'd be able to live with it if I could fix the geometry... It's hard to enjoy looking at the picture when the picture curves inwards on both sides, it looks like a right old mess on menu screens.

Give me the handset command...pretty please? =P

Why not just take it back to the shop and ask for a replacement?

Depending on the model no...a lot of Sanyo widescreen models had to have a modification done which involves replacing the microprocessor and a few other components to correct a geometry problem...is the height stretched as well?
Poor geometry isn't always due to an incorrect setting within the service menu.

I ended up receiving two and managed to keep one for free. It isn't under guarantee anymore - I didn't really use it until recently, it was only ever meant as a TV to use if my main TV became unusable.

I did try getting another CRT, the Sony one mentioned in my first post. I'm going to wait until a month or two after the PS3 comes out before getting an LCD, I'm no rush to get annoyed by more TV related problems.

*looks behind TV*

Model number: CE32DFN3-B

There isn't any problem with the vertical geometry on my current CE32. The other CE32 I had did have the screen stretched too far, it cut off the top and bottom of the screen. It seems like these sets all have geometry problems.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if someone knows how to access the service menu on these Sanyo sets. I won't blame you if I screw up - I'm now well aware of how dangerous it can be if you don't write down all the settings beforehand.
