Where is the best shop to buy a CRT TV?
It is going to be our main TV we are thinking of a 32" or 36".
I have been thinking of the Philips 36PW9607.

Your chances of getting these (or indeed any decent CRT) new are virtually nil. If you're very lucky a local dealer may still have one ex-display, otherwise you're limited to the second-hand market (eBay or your local paper). There are a lot of these coming up for sale now as people "upgrade" to LCD, many with a couple of years or more left on the warranty so it should be possible to get a bargain.

I went for a walk today and popped into our currys and also our comet and they both have plenty of CRT sets, from different manufactures and different sizes. I must admit I was shocked as people keep saying that getting a Crt set is getting difficult, well it seems I can still walk into our local electrical chain stores and buy one at the moment. How long it will last is another thing, but I think comet more than Currys will keep selling then for a couple of years yet.

the reason why I think comet will keep doing them is because they still do analogue radio where Currys have don't and they still do VHS decks where currys don't
