How wide is the base of the Philps 36" 9607?

I am planning to take the plung and change my Sony FS70 with a Philips 9607, but don't intend to use the stand.

The base of the FS70 is narrower than the width of the chassis, which means that it finds on my glass stand.

However, i notice that the Philips is the same width, right to the bottom of the chassis.

I am now worried that it won't fit onto my stand.

Could somone please measure the width at the base for me.

Phew.. Thats close.

My Optimum 2000 stand, has 4 'caps' at each corner of the glass sheet.

The space between them is just over 37 inches.

As 94.1 is 37.04", I think that I might just be OK, but only just.

Failing that, I will have to grind a few mm off of the sides of the caps..

Thanks for the info.. I think that I had better double check the measurements before I shell out.
