how much for a second hand tosh 36zp48?

not sure If Im allowed to ask this on here, but as Im not selling on here should be ok?

My mate wants to buy my 36zp48 off me, about 18months old, so still 3 1/2 years JL warranty as well. Whats a good price to ask him? 450?

I dont want to rip him off, but obviously want a fair chunk of cash towards the flat screen replacement.....cant find any completed auctions on ebay so not sure of the current market really.....

cheers!

How utterly depressing..... I'd hope with a three 1/2 year warranty left mine would be worth a bit bit more though!

The picture is obviously fantastic, but Im starting to see very good pics on the latest plasmas with HD, and maybe the sony LCD. If not better?
A smaller living room has convinced the GF we need to go flatscreen. Its a little bit earlier than I wanted to but with ps3 and hd-dvd round the corner and SkyHD already here......Im going to have to jump in before Christmas.

A couple of months ago they were deffo going for 450-500 on ebay, but completed listings doesn't show these anymore. One on there for 200 at the moment so I'll see what that goes for.

To be fair, if prices are dropping that much it might be a good time to sell any way, just to get a bit of cash for it!

Probably of no help to you at all, but I recently paid £350 for one (including stand, DVD and VHS) on e-bay. It is a fantastic piece of kit.... Or it would be if the DFS module hadn't just gone belly up

I bought one of these (36ZP49) from a fleabay seller about 3 months ago for £280 including the 4 surround speakers and it was in very good condition approx 18 months old. He also delivered it to me - very decent bloke.

Cheers mate for the info, and good price but if it goes wrong in the next 3 years your in deep doodoo - mine has a cast iron guarentee for over 3 years, which will get you 1k towards a new TV if they cant fix it!

That complete piece of mind, and the fact its from an AV nerdlinger like me, puts it at about 500 I would think - infact listed on here now for sale! so guess we cant discuss how much its worth anymore?

Re: how much for a second hand tosh 36zp48?

Paid 1000Euro for a new one about two months ago but sent it back cause it had too much ghosting in bold edges. The picture was fantastic and poor depending on what you're evaluating: Black level, contrast and colors were amazing and with SD nothing beats it overall picture quality. But like with most tubes, specially of this size, there were some few convergence problems, specially near the screens edges and ghosting on bold lines.

BTW there have been reports by some here that their sets accepted 768p if anyone cares. You'd need a scaler or a DVD recorder that supports 768p. Some Samsung models do this.

HOpe this helps anyone interested in the set. For the price plasmas are still going, if you're on a tighg budget and need a decent TV it could be worth it. Personally I'll wait a bit till Plasmas become a bit cheaper, the poor black level of LCD's just doesn't cut it for me.
