Samsung 409 CRT shop mode

found that my 409 had gone into a strange mode called shop mode, i've found the solution, so thought i'd post it here if someone googles it

'Floor Sales Tip as Promised- Almost every Samsung TV in every technology will have a feature called "Shop Mode" . Note- this is not turned on at the factory- so it must be done with each TV on your sales floor. Shop Mode checks the picture output every 30 minutes, and returns all settings to a center or neutral position! Cool-huh? To make this happen- simply go the the TV (Not the remote) push and hold the "menu" button in for a few seconds- and the words "Shop Mode" will appear onscreen- you are now engaged! Holding the menu again will defeat this feature. Thanks for reading, I'll be shorter in the future... '
