Phillips 28PW8719 - Major Screen Problems Please Help

Hi All,

I have had the Phillps 28PW8719 for two years now and just recently we have noticed some major problems. We have Sky+ and when you press the select button and the blue band comes on teling you channel details etc etc when it goes it leaves a blue impression on the screen. Also when watching any programme when cutting from one scene to another it can also leave an impression of that last scene just for a second. It is also evident when playing DVDs and on PS2 games.

Is this the tube or is fixable ?

Thanks

NeilDan

The tube would not be at fault from what you describe sounds like the phospher coating on the inside of the tube face that is still energised just for a slit second
try turning down the contrast slightly see if that helps.
