Sony KV25K5U

Hi all, first posting, hope you can help!
Sony KV25K5U started occasionaly turning itself on from standby at night!
Now from switch on it is cycling through the programs and won't stop. Red led flashes at each cycle. Remote might switch set to standby but it will immediatly come out of standby and continue to cycle through channels. Remote eliminated from fault.
Any ideas welcome.

hi when it is in standby does the led blink at all?

Hi Tech, as soon as the set goes to standby the red led flashes and it comes out. The led continues to flash at each channel change sequence.
The front control panel does not appear to be contaminated.

it sounds like a ic is messing around is it still under waranty if not ask an engineneer to quote you
