Panny TXW28R4 Beebing - no power

Hi all, nearing the end of my insurance claim, so I thought maybe someone could shed some light (or power) to the TV's problem. Lightning strike sent it to a slow, unfortunate grave. TV has no power but when turned on it beeps. Looking over from the front of the TV the beeps are coming from the bottom left (or right if you stand behind it- yes I know it's obvious but some........

Basically, is it worth repairing as I have a final cash figure..robbin sods!!! and am now (again) looking at at a replacement CRT (Tosh 32ZP48) after having my brain drained with LCD problems etc. Oh, should I be wary of graded stock??

TVM

Sounds like a shorted line output transistor but with a lightning strike it could be anything

It did have a slow death though. Initially it went to s/by mode then over a period of two weeks it cut out again, finally not coming on at all.
