what is av?

does anyone what this is?
as i phoned panasonic uk today and asked them about the tx21ck1, i asked if it supported pal60 as i ha seen in their latest catalogue that it does, and the representative replied yes it does only through the av.
so can anyone help me out.

Short answer.

Through the Scart socket.

Depending of the number of Scart/ S-Video sockets on your TV you will have AV1, AV2, AV3, ect
