T.V. Engineer wanted -West Yorks.

I have a Sony KD 32DX40U with a really poor picture, watching golf and all I see is pink grass.
Can anybody recommend a trusted engineer in the West Yorks area that I could take to, who could give me honest advise on whether it would be repairable. Some places advertise free advise and quotes, but I'd rather pay for a bench test and honest advise. I actually live in Morley, South Leeds but don't mind putting in the car and taking it to whoever
Cheers to anybody who replies.

Hi

I am also from Morley, not a TV engineer though. Worked for Jones of Oakwood for 2 yrs, I believe there is a TV engineer on these forums from Bradford, I think.
Is it a pink cast over the entire screen, that would more likely be the tube.
How old is the TV, has it had a lot of use.
There used to be a TV repair company on Chartist Way, not sure if that went bust too though.

Thanks for the reply Nigel.
I hope its not the tube.
When I use the picture adjustment menu on Personal Mode the sharpness bar moves but has not effect on the picture.
On the Live and Movie modes only the contrast bar is adjustable, the brightness. colour and sharpness bars do not illuminate so I am unable to adjust them.
Regards
Tony

These levels are fixed and not adjustable...in other words they are preset modes...if you want to adjust these settings use the "Personal" picture mode. Read page 22 of your user manual.
