Hi, im pretty new to all this stuff and im on the look out for a new tv at the moment.

I just wanted to know whats the best connection out of S-video and RGB scart.

I noticed at the back of my DVD player it has both connections and i was wondering what one gives the best picture. Its just because most of the Tv's ive been lookin at have S-video as well and i just wanted to know what u guys think is best.

Also, can u use S-video for the Xbox 360 instead of RGB scart if it is a better picture ?

RGB is the better of the two, although under most conditions you probably cannot tell the difference.

Hi, i just went down my local clearence warehouse looking for a nice new TV.

I saw i few i liked but the TV sets didnt say they were HD ready. but they did say the screen rez was 1280*768, this is 720p quality isnt it...?

After looking at the back of the TV i noticed it didnt have Componemt connections but the TV did have PC monitor connections. 2 of them, the old one and the new DVI input..

Does this mean id be able to run an Xbox 360 with the VGA cable at 1280*768 ?

I take it the TV cant call itself HD ready because it dosent have component or HDMI, but will VGA/DVI work for my 360 and look good ?

Im not sure about the model number, but it was a 32'' Thomson tv.
