Received my new Toshiba at the weekend and thankfully so far i have not noticed any of the problems some people have mentioned on these forums. Everything is connected ok, just waiting for the Ixos component cable to come in the post .

I would just be interested to see how everyone has the sound settings setup on this TV. I have an AV Amp and dedicated surround sound speakers setup for watching DVD's and films on SKY but sometimes you just want to put the TV on to watch the news, soaps, documentaries etc. So far i have just connected the Front speakers but the sound just doesn't impress me that much, is it worth me connecting the Rears aswell?

I havent tested the sound on mine. The speakers are still in the box.

I just press the on button on my remote and it fires up the amp at the same time. No need for going with a poorer quality audio system then.
