HELP...Need a 32" widescreen

HELP!!!

My old faithful telly has died

I'm after a 32" Widescreen CRT tv. However, time is running out and it looks like CRT's are on the way out.

Anyone suggest a good model to get and where from. Been after afew but most places have sold out and aren't stocking them anymore.

Trying to get a 32" widescreen with freeview and a stand as minimum and 100hz would be good.

Thanks alot

I bought the JVC HV-32D40BK from Empire Direct last week for £499.45 (digital Freeview and analogue tuners built in, and includes a 2 shelf stand - see here. This was the top of the range JVC CRT model 2004 to 2005 and was discussed on this thread.
I've only used it for a few days, but am well impressed . It has a total of 5 external connection sockets: 3 Scart sockets (2 of which can be set to RGB input and 1 to S-Video input), 1 separate S-Video, composite video and audio input socket, and fifth and finally it has component video (Y,Pb,Pr) and audio input. This component video can display 625p,525p,625i,525i and 1125i (HD) signals. I have not yet been able to test out the latter as I do not yet have a component video source (either SD or HD), but the first set of Sky HD receivers do include component output if I should decide to swell Rupert Murdoch's coffers.
The inbuilt Freeview tuner can be used to output the programme for recording on a VCR - the digital channel is converted to analogue composite video output via the Scart connectors

It sounds like a good option. But is that a silver stand on a black TV?

The TV case itself is silver and the silver bottom edge of the TV matches the supplied stand. The screen itself has a black surround (which is why you may have thought the TV itself was black)
