Jvc Ctv E-w Modulator

Hi All,

I have JVC CTV,a friend of mine passed the set onto me with a problem.
The set is 21" Wide Screen it about 3yrs old i can't make out the model on
the back of the set. anyway the set has E-W DISTORTION I think that the
Service Mode has been entered and someone has messed with the attribues
I have the original remote so i am asking how the Service menue is called up.
Or how the set is reset to Factory setting. Before i enter the set i want to
see if there is a user problem before i go into the E-W Mod circuitry.

Regards

Nick.

The standard way on JVC sets is to press "i" and Audio Mute simultaneously. The Deflection adjustments are normally No. 4 on the Service Menu.

Hi Nick,

That's not a very wide widescreen (at 21"). Reckon it's a 24" or 28" if its a widescreen ?

It's also possible that set is made by Vestel - whats the model number ?

Cheers

MJ

The TV carries the JVC Badge Mod No AV-28GTISJF. I remember when JVC
used ONWA Chassis what a mess they were.
