Does anyone know when they stopped making these TV’s?

There one for sale which is the 36ZP48P and it's only 6 months old.
And another being sold which was donated by Toshiba UK to raise vital funds for the St Giles Hospice. And it's brand new...

The one which is 6 months old is going for £475.
The other one is on eBay and is at £380 right now.

What’s the main difference between the two?
I'm quite reluctant to buy the new one because I fear it'll have the same problem as the 36ZP48P (I've read a lot of reviews and people have a lot of issues with the 36ZP48P), you either get an excellent one or a bad one which needs repairing/replaced.

I don't have a clue which one to go for.
Any advice?
