Help sony kd28dx51 showing funny colours

Unhappy Help sony kd28dx51 showing funny colours

Can anyone help me i came home from work today switched on my tv and its displaying everything in a purple red and green colour, ive tried turning it off/on but this did'nt work i know that magnets in speakers can cause this effect but the only speakers i have near my tv is a sony surround center speaker and this never caused no problems b4. I have posted some pics of my tv below thanks in advance for anyone who can help

It looks as though you have a "Purity" fault and the degauss circuit has failed.
It's not a D-I-Y fix I'm afraid and can only suggest calling in an experienced repairman...it shouldn't be too expensive to put right.

I switched my tv on this morning and it's back to normal thank god for that

Hi, what you were actually suffering from was a very faulty crt - expensive as a replacement crt is the only option. However, sometimes for no apparent reason I have come across several crts that have cured themselves overnight - I was going to suggest to you that you give it a few days before doing anything but luckily it does seem to have cured itself in the meantime.
