JVC AV-28X4SK Glow from light colours on dark backgrounds

Hello.

I have a problem with my JVC AV-28X4SK CRT. In dark scenes there seems to be a glowing effect coming from light objects. An example of this would be white writing on a black background, the white writing gives off a white glow or halo effect instead of being clearly defined. I know how to access the service menu but it's mumbo jumbo to me. Does anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this and how I can correct it?

Thankyou.

P.S. The TV is 100Hz if that is relavent.

I would advise you to not to go near the service menu...you can seriously screw up your set.
Why does everyone think everything can be corrected within the service menu...there are more blindingly obvious reasons for the symptoms you describe...such as a fault...call in a repairman and get a quote.
Modern sets are not D-I-Y repairable.
