Toshiba 32W8DB Picture Problems

My TV has started playing up over the last few weeks. I'm getting a red tinge to the picture and in the last day or so, occassionally a greenish tinge. I had an engineer come out today who says the TV needs a new tube, but its only 2.5 years old.

Apparently this is a common problem - according to him.

Has anyone else experiecned this problem?

Yep. This does happen a lot with the older Tosh models. I lost my one this way. Picture started increasing the red tint. It went off for a new tube. Two weeks later a cheque turned up for a new tv.
