A.I is not stretching.

I have the 36" sony FS3670 and the pioneer 545.
everything anamorphic stretched on Region 2, but this only region 1 disc I have does not stretch. Any ideas??

Region 1 titles do not adjust automatically to widescreen as the swith signal is missing. Select manually

If you use the s-video (round pin) connection, then you do not get scart pin 8 widescreen switching.

You need to rely on line 23 WSS (R2) and line 21 (R1). Nearly all UK televisions support line 23 WSS but not all support line 21 WSS.

It sounds like you have one that doesn't
