How can I connect some pc speakers to my tv

Bearing in mind,

-the portable tv is mono sound, I would prefer stereo (this is not essential however).
-It only has a scart socket, and a tv aerial input, no stereo sound sockets.
-I have tried freeview but can't get a good reception (corrupt images, channels missing etc).

I could just buy a new tv i guess. The problem is the sound fluctuates on it's own and it's very annoying.

Thanks

Well you can get scart to phono adaptors which can connect to some types of amplified PC speaker. You'll only get mono out of a mono TV, though.

The only real problem is the sound on the tv, i love the picture quality (even on analogue signal), which is annoying as I have a 7.1 speaker system with a dts/dolby decoder for my pc (which has a switch box to switch between different devices)

But I'm not forking out 50 quid for a new portable for my room, especially as I plan to get a better tv in the future and can spend just a few quid now to sort out this audio problem.

I'll have a look at those scart to phono leads

Can a scart be only IN or only OUT?

The lead I bought has a selector, if it's going to a decoder and then to an amplifier with speakers, it should be set to OUT, no? I hope the tv allows it to be "out".
