Question Which 32inch CRT to Buy?

My 20 year old TV is about to expire so I need to replace it. I cannot afford an LCD or Plasma model at the moment so I am after a decent 32in CRT TV.

I mostly watch the "normal" TV channels although I do have a Humax Freeview box which I use now and then. I have a basic DVD player which I use less than once per month. I do not intend to use the TV for any games consoles or PC connections.

I have a good aerial in my loft which feeds through a powered signal amplifier so the signal at the TV is pretty good.

Based on price and availability I have narrowed my choices to 3 models: 1) Philips 32PW6520, 2) JVC AV32T5 (SK or BK), 3) JVC HV32P37S - all of which can be bought for 350-400 GBP.

Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, about any of these models ??
If it was you, which one would you choose ??

I need to make a decision soon as stocks are limited, so any feedback will be gratefully received.

Thanks, George.

i would go for the jvc either model ,i used to have a 28 4/3 which recently
died it lasted 12 years and was an excellent performer.
you do need to move fast as i spoke to a curry's employee whom i've known for years that crt tv's will be phased out by the summer.
i was looking for a replacement for mine (its for the bedroom)
and most crt sets on sale were the very last model on the shelf,

i did see a sony wega 32 with component/progressive scan feature for £499
bit too much but it was the very last one, that was comet
i think in a few months the choice will lcd or plasma eerr thats it, except for 14
or maybe 21 inch
