36ZP18 Component video

I have my DVD player connected up to av4 component Inputs on my tv but I can't seem to get a picture but I do get sound through the optical cable, what am I doing wrong?

You have to configure the player to send compoment output as it uses the scart by default. You need a scart connection initially to view the on screen menu, then connect by component after resetting.

This applies to the toshiba dvd, I presume that is what you have as few others have component output.
