Advice please, progressive with component input?

Hi Folks,

Well I'm about skint but really do need to replace my screen.

What I really need is a nice cheap crt that can display progressive scan over component input.

The sources will be various but all will switched through my TMA AV32R DP and DVD32FLR with PSM (one of the reason's for being skint LOL)

So there should be a very good quality signal going in to the beasty......

Only question is................... which one (if any) ???

Thanks in anticipation

Bushy

There are few TV's in CRT format that accept such signals and those that did are all now discontinued.... however you may be able to track a few down somewhere.

Models capable:

Toshiba 32ZP48 or 46
Panasonic 32PD50 or 30 (previous model, there are still a few around)
JVC HV-32D40

There's also another panny and a Thomson which does the job but neither I would expcet being available anymore and I've also no model no's!

Also the JVC HV-32P37, now heavily discounted from Empire Direct. Many interesting threads on here about these JVC sets if you do a search - they have their issues, but the picture from PS component is fabulous.

I got one from DigitalDirect via Ebay for £370 and it is awesome.
Playing DVD's through my Sony DVD player via component the image is truely amazing.
Add to that the fact that football etc on Sky looks just as good as my old Sony CRT then I've got a TV that will keep me going for many years to come
A lot better than paying 3 or 4 times as much for a plasma/lcd that doesn't do normal Sky as good. I'm sticking with CRT until all stations are HD
