Connecting to HD input on Television

My Samsung LCD tv only has one HD input, I hope they bring in cheaper HD switchboxes, as how else can you connect Sky HD and a dvd player?

I think it is a given that switching hardware will be much cheaper once there are enough sources on the market to warrant more manufacturers to supply them. Once that happens basic economics kick in and prices fall

At this time if you have only one HD input then you may just need to be creative. There really is no huge need to use the HDMI output of a upscaling DVD player unless it's performance is obviously much better than the displays, so just use RGB scart and leave the HD input for SKY or other source which is bought only for HD.
By the time we get "real" High Def optical disk players/recorders who rely on HDCP via digital links then who knows they may have digital passthrough or more likely external switching units will be very common.
