Just spoke to Homechoice Video-On-Demand customer services.
They said HiDef will be supported -no idea when.

The current box only has SCART RGB output, so I am guessing an HDMI box will be required in a couple of years time.

I can now get Be 24Mb broadband, so once it gets to 36Mb to 48Mb or more we can get full HD streamed in real time.

I found Sky by Broadband to be dreadfully slow and clunky. It would be nice if you could get proper HD material from there (might just be worth the wait and inconvinience) for free...

I'm planning on buying the new Sony Vaio 'Viiv' Media PC (whenever they can be bothered to release it, was Jan, then Feb, now March...) - In the material it said 'video on demand' and in the corner was the HD logo, and they linked to: http://www.lovefilm.com/browse-downloads.php I'm not a member, so can't check it out, but i presume online services will no doubt deliver HD stuff as soon as they can. Might be 3gb per film, but us dedicated peeps will still give it a go!
