Philips 32pf7520d - not enough hi-def connections

Hi, i recently was lucky enough to get my hands on a xbox360 and hi-def lcd tv (philips 32pf750d)........ however something has come to light recently.

The HI-Def (DVI connection) at the back of the TV is now occupied by my beloved xbox360..... so what happens when sky's hidef comes out, or i want to purchase a hd-dvd player in the future? is there any device i can buy or any way that i can connect multiple HI-Def equipment to my TV?

Can someone please try to help me, or should i try to contact the sales team at the electrical store to try to get my point across.

Below is a link to a website that reviews my TV.

Cheers in advance Paul.

Tho "Gefen" make a few that have 4 inputs for both DVI and HDMI - might be worth googling.

Isn't the xbox360 equipped to allow HD over VGA or Component since there is no copyright issues at least until the HD-DVD version appears so HDCP over HDMI or DVI is a non-issue.

As for the TV itself, well the DVI socket like other Philips should allow component with a suitable connector and also VGA both of which may be useful for the xbox360.

Connecting two sources to the single DVI socket is then just a matter of getting a suitable splitter.

If your telly does not have component inputs then it is not a 'HD Ready' set and should not have been sold a such.

I also have a Phillips HDTV with 1x DVI.

You should had got a DVI>Component cable with the TV (I did) with one of those and http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tv...eo-switch.html plus maybe http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/AD012.html for the sound you can easily have 3 HD devices connected up.

DVI is a very compatible input really with adaptors it can accept DVI, VGA, Component and HDMI, Just a shame theres only one!

Edit: If you dont have one you can buy one here: http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tv...onent-dvi.html

As DynaMight says the DVI on most Philips models is a multi format input, it can accept component or VGA with a suitable and cheap adaptor, one should have been supplied.

The review from the link supplied does actually state the DVI accepts component with an adaptor

The switchers don't work with those philips DVI-I sockets, don't think there is DVI-I in the switcher. Ie you can use a component switcher or a DVI switcher, but you can't mix component and DVI, or you can't on my Gefen and Philips setup.
