Anyone checked some of the prog descriptions on the HD movies? Some have the tag 'HD' while other have 'AD' instead, and some have neither... surely they should all be HD at the very least... and 'AD'? What could that mean? Something to do with HDMI/copyrighted films?

Yep - if you select narrative from the HELP button (which also gives you the subtitles option) you get additional commentary on some programmes (flagged as AD).

This is extra information that is spoken by a narrator in the gaps in dialogue, where visual events are taking place that would be useful to know about for plot reasons. ("He looks at her cheekily", "She picks up the knife" etc.)

By law - a certain percentage of terrestrial stuff has to carry this (just as signing and subtitling also have minimum requirements). Not sure if these have been legally extended to satellite.

I've currently got the basic sky box with the full programme package. Will i have to buy a new sky HD box or something to get HD, How much roughly will it be and does that increase your monthly subscription??????????????????? If it does they can stick it!
