What to do with old TV?

I'm planning on upgrading to a nice new LCD set in the near future and I've got a bit of a dilemma...

What do I do with my old 4:3 29" Sony CRT? It's a bit massive to take anywhere but it's a good TV and I can't just throw it out...

Any ideas?

Why not phone a charity shop, ask them to pick it up, surely they would appreciate that.

A lot of charity shops will not accept electrical goods due to regulations over health and safety rules etc.
e.g. What if someone buys a TV from them and it goes on fire etc, the charity shop may be held responsible etc.
