the prices for loewe 40

sorry about the delay.
the loewe 40' -two colours, black & silver.
the first two batches will still have the Q2400 chasiss and i'm told the Q2500 will show itself very soon.
from what i know the major change is to implement the new loewe/bose sound system due in may.
the tv is dolby digital intergrated.
although the tv is not flat screen it appears from the new brochure that it does not have a 'belly',especially in the black.
first hand experience will only give a true ans.

remember, the places below have yet to have their first batch,so placing an order is the name of the game.these prices are given as of the last ten days and do not include stand nor deliverly.

1 tv & video direct ( bolton)
01204 395999 ask for matt.............£2850

2 robert whyte (glasgow)
0141 5760228 .................................£2950

3 sound & vision (bolton)
01204 861861 ................................£3000
this company claims to be able to match & beat all,so test them!

4 sandai(hounslow,london)
0208 5708866.ask for syd................£3000 and under

empire direct still are unable to give a price, but are expected to be around £3000 and under. remember, although they claim to beat all prices, its advertised prices only.
these prices were the best at the time and if you haggle MAYBE you can better! but don't count on it!

sorry i didn't mention that the alocation to each dealer is limited and the demand is high, so most dealers know that they can get close to the full price.
but that doesn't mean that you cant try!
happy purchases and keep me posted.

Well Mo our order was placed so early it never made it on to the Loewe System....they hadn't got the computer ordering set up for it...so our order was placed when we chased them up to find out what the score was....so it's going to be 4-6weeks for me to see one....

Brilliant....

Hi Mo,

Do you konw if there is any real difference between the two chassies?

I mean when it comes to the geometry and picture quality is there expected to be a difference?

How come the website says it has a perfectly flat picture tube if it is not a flat screen??

Also - i see there are no scart inputs at all for this tv - can i get a RGB Scart to component cable(do they exist?), or do i have to stick with s-video if i get this tv??

Cheers

sorry,i've just seen it.
they must of put in just recently.
as for rgb-- look again, its two
personally, for me its the black one it just sits more majestically.
the difference between the two chassis is very little or nothing on the picture side,as i mentioned earlier its geared towards the new sound stuff coming soon made in partnership with bose.
as for geomtry, the rep told my dealer friend that was pretty spot on(i expect him to say that),but we'll have to wait and see
lastly.i take it that, the few that do have this tv at the moment don't view this forum.

Hi - Cheers for the info mo.
On the website it says that the nearest authorised dealer for Loewe TVs to me(i live in WGC, Herts) is John Lewis. What do you think are the chances of JL pricematching any of the stores tat you have mentioned?
Also - if i went to JL and ordered on now, how long would it take for it to come(considering that they seem to be selling quickly)

Thanks for any info

its pot luck now,'JL' is choosey on whom it price matches with.
internet companies such as empire direct although very happy to do business in the past won't get a look in these days.
i'm told it will only do business with 'proper' stores in the country.
the first store mentioned & r.whyte are propably the best bet,it just depends on the moment 'JL' speaks to the store about the price.just try & see what comes of it.
remember these tv's come with a 2 year warranty as standard and i don't expect 'JL' to be quicker than other dealers.

I just went to John Lewis and they said because it is a 'special order' they would not price match, and the guy there said the price was £5000!!!!
I think i will go for the 36" Sony now, cos i really don't want to buy a t.v. off the net or from a place far away..........
