1st RGB SCART
2nd S-Video SCART/Mini Din
3rd Composite (only use as a last resort)

No, we have zero votes for composite. And are v unlikely to get any more.
We have 1 vote for component (which is very similar to RGB) and we have 1 vote ror RGB.

I didn't mention component because I assumed your DVD and/or TV didn't support it.

The smart money is on RGB with S-video as an also ran.
Composite won't even get a look in.

Hi,

I think you have one for RGB and one for component...not composite :0)

Composite is cheap and nasty..and very different from component.

You can't use component unless you have a supporting projector or TV (probably a Toshiba..since not many manufacturers provide this option).

I had a Tosh RPTV with component connections - I couldn't see any difference between them and an IXOS £50 SCART gold SCART lead on RGB.

IF your telly doesn't do component - go for RGB SCART !

Cheers
Daz

Make sure you use a good qaulity, fully 21 pin configured SCART cable.

RGB is best nearly all the time. However, there are some televisions that don't handle it too well. Older Tosh models, are a good example.

You have a scart lead so check for yourself and make your own mind up. The scart carries RGB and s-video so no cost is involved apart from the time you make to compare the two.
