panasonic tx-36pl32 fault-loud spark..

Hi lads,lassies.
first timer here,i have a panasonic tx-36pl32 which has developed a wee problem.It has started giving of a loud sparking noise,which makes the picture go off then strait back on again.The sparking starts 5mins after switching on and gets faster.TV starts switching on and off constantly.Any ideas guys whats causing this...will it be costly to repair??????

hmm sounds like a problem from the flyback transformer seen as u can hear a loud sound and thats what produces the serious power for the tube to get it working, or it might be sommat simple, get it checked out and DONT KEEP TRYING TO TURN IT ON COS DOING SO WILL MAKE IT EVEN WORSER

thanks for that quick response.
the tv.has been left standing for 2 weeks just left it alone.sparking sounded to serious to mess about with.
do you think this is an exspensive repair job..please say no.

ps. does anybody know a good tv repair shop in glasgow???

hi there, its hard to say mate just get it checked out dont attemp to open it urself cos its very ' DANGEROUS '

im sorry i dont know any places in glasgow but do try have a wee look and get it sorted hopefully, sorry i cudn't be much help just CRT tele's are very complex and the problem can be as little or as big as anything but dont eat urself to death ive had far more worser problems with tele's over 10 yrs old and ive managed to get em working so dont give up mate good luck anyway
