Connecting my new toshiba dvd player (SD-340E) to tosh 36ZP48 widescreen CRT using a component video cable on EXT4, and the picture is like monochrome pink. But you can see it. Sound is fine though digital audio coax.

Any idea what the problem might be? Have I likely wired this up wrong, or is there a setting on the TV/DVD I need to change.

Is it necessary to have a SCART connection as well as the component video cable?

Solved... it was a video signal setting on the DVD I needed to change.
