Chipped Screen

Hi everyone,

We recently had delivery of a Toshiba 32YT56 and my wife decided to put a picture on top of it, today the picture fell off and chipped the screen on the way down and when you have very light images its rather noticable. Anyone have any ideas on what i can do to try and get rid of it?

Thanks
Daniel

You can get buffing powder for this from tube manufacturers, it's a bit like jewellers rouge but very hard to find.

Don't want to worry you, but if the chip is deep, it can affect the strength of the tube.

Have you checked your house and contents insurance policy? You may be covered for the cost of repair or replacement as the damage was accidental.

Maybe try one of those DIY windscreen chip repair kits. I did the windscreen on my car perfectly, cost about a fiver.
