Jvc Hd Crt ? Hv-32d40bk

Anyone have any experience of this TV ?

It appears to be 1080i ready via component.

Seems a reasonable price when compared to the Samsung which I quite fancied until I followed the thread on this forum.

Can't find any reviews of it anywhere.

None of the JVC HDTV sets accept a 720p input at a native resolution or upscaling it to 1080i so you'll just get a black screen with anything @ 720p.

The Samsung HDTV supports 720p input by scaling it to 1080i but the geometry is terrible on it and it doesn't display anything at 60Hz, only 50Hz.

Eiji, I believe the Samsung is wrongly specified at the Samsung's UK site to accept 720p...it cannot accept this or display it because its electronics cannot run higher than 31KHz while to show 720p they would need to scan the screen at 34KHz...thusly, it was not designed to accept 720p...as far as I know, no european market CRT TV can take 720p...
