Help me...

what are the things i should check... like for Faults in my new tv... while purchasing in the shop... before bringing home !!!

anyways... WHAT to TEST and SEE (in the screen) for faults!!!

Also... in my personal setting ...what kind of color and contrast brightness i should do... and what color temperature !!!

How much brightness and contrast is up to you as all viewing is subjective.

As for faults just look and see if the picture looks correct, its not bending or smearing on the screen etc. Just use the good old MK1 eyeball

Exaclty, just look for good brightness and nice smooth razour sharp color and make sure the picture is not bent when looking at banners ie: sky banner and news channels to check how straight the writing is moving across

put it in 4:3 mode and check convergence down the sides (see if red/blue/green overlaps at either side by any amount). and also you can check geometry by this as well. then put a 2.35:1 dvd in and check the top/bottom of pic doesnt bow up or down.
