Problem - Remote controls clashing

I have just bought a cheap Freeview box for my bedroom. Set it all up etc and when I start using it it becomes apparent that the remotes on my TV and new Freeview box must use the same frequency. I'm trying to operate the Freeview box, and its making my TV do allsorts at the same time. Same the other way round, try to use the TV remote and the Freeview box does allsorts.

Is there anything that can be done here or is all lost and I simply cant use this TV with this Freeview Box?

My matsui box did the same to my old TV. Never found a solution, apart from the obvious one of blocking the IR sensor on the TV when I wanted to use the freeview...

Jon

btw, might be able to offer you a swap if you want to try to find a freeview box that doesn't interfere...

It's not really an ideal solution, but keep the two items sufficiently far apart that you can point the zapper at the appropriate one without it affecting the other.
