Sony TV : KV-28FX60U

Ladies and Gents,

I have recently purchased the above TV and i was pretty chuffed however, to my frustration as every piece of equipment i own is Sony and none of it has ever let me down , On any channel i look at (and il describe it as best i can) the left hand side of the picture bends down and/or there is a black spot at the top left hand corner what the hell is this about? no matter how i try and adjust the tv i get no where - somebody help
