Toshiba Rear Projection Flickering Problem

Hi, I have had a Toshiba RPTV for a couple of years (its the 42WT29) and recently it has been behaving badly. It all started after i moved the tv for decoration. Now when I turn it on, it does one of a number of things:

1. No picture is displayed
2. No picture is displayed but the source identifier (e.g. AV1 i think) is shown with the RGB components completely off
3. A picture is shown and after a few minutes the picture loses sync and appears to be flickering or scrolling horizontally very quickly.
4. The flickering starts immediately.

Also this is accompanied by the remote control working intermittently (I have changed the batteries).

Any help on what the problem might be would be appreciated. NB: I have suffered from the red and blue haze problem for a while but its not bad enough to do anything about it.

Thanks in advance
