Old Daewoo Tv Flickers, How do I fix this?

Hello everyone, I'm new to this this forum- I am very grateful to have found it.
I have an older Daewoo tv that just started to flicker (mostly happens on a "color intensive" scene). I wouldn't even care but I have the same problem on an RCA and I have thrown tv's away in the past for this same problem.
I am kind of handy and was wondering if there is a simple (or not-so-simple) fix for this. And what I should look for when I open the television.
Thanks in advance.
