... I'm talking widescreen TVs here - what did you think I was talking about.

Wondering about the relative merits of owning a 28" or 32" TV - apart from obvious cost differences, does anybody have any particular views beyond the obvious (depends on size of room etc)? I've always been put off monsterously big tellys in the past, but does the extra 'real-estate' really give extra benefits for watching DVDs etc.

I'l like to hear your opinions, good, bad or indifferent. Thanks.

Go Big!
I bought a 32" and it seemed huge at first but now it's starting to look small. Even my dubious wife is starting to think we should have gone 36" But she likes everything to be larger! Honestly though, you can never go too big!

I've got a 32 inch and its adaquate seeing as my front room is tiny. I sometimes wish I stumped up for a 36 inch. Specailly as my next place is gonna have a decent size living room.

My mums got a 28 inch in her living room and it just doesnt seem to do the job....

I just got a 44" Thomson and i love it, i believe bigger is better and u should get the biggest u can get for ure room and budget.

Aroogah. That's what i thought. I sat in front of a 32" in the showroom yesterday, maybe 3ft. from the screen (cramped or what!). Certainly didn't seem oversized because the aspect ratio keeps the height down. Thanks for the feedback.

A mate of mine's got a 61" Tosh, and it's amazing... Like having the local Odeon in your own living room, Mind you he's got a room the size of a small house and it still takes up some acrage with all the extra goodies he's got... Git!

Sorry but 61inches is pretty small.

My 96" by 72" gives a 120inch diagonal.

Now that's big... :D

Yes, you get to a point where you have to think "what the hell, I may as well get a projector". Providing you can cope with a certain lifestyle change (darkish room, don't get in the way of the projector) then a projector saves you space. In saying that, I currently have a 50" RP Pioneer and I am certain that it is nowhere as deep as, say, a 32" Sony Wega.

ive just added a 44 incher sony kp44ps2 to my cinema setup,good looking tv and ex picture,<br />not many people seem to of heard of it as its new <br />out at 2800 quid?
