Question Sound problems with Philips 24"

My sister recently got a 24" Philips TV and is experiencing sound loss when playing back DVDs and Videos.

Apparently it's noticeable during music but not if there's dialogue as well.

Anyone have any similar experience / suggestions?

Thanks,

Ben

Once saw the 'exact' same fault back when I did field service. The customer had a DVD via scart to the Phillips TV. Sound cut out on Chicken run and Ali G.
Prob with the TV. It was changed. Don't know why it did it. I heard it was a fault that cropped up with that particular model.
Obviously it has appeared again.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but I'd get the company you bought it from to check it out under its warranty.
