Affect of speakers on TV?

I'm considering buying a tv from a forum member in classifieds but I'm concerned that my front speakers will be too close to it and cause problems, see this thread.

There will only be 25cm between the sides of the tv and my JM Lab Electra 926 speakers. Are they likely to distort the picture or otherwise interfere with the TV?

Those look pretty powerful speakers. If they are not screened internally for home cinema then 25cm is too close.
