Panasonic Tx36pd50c Bargain Price

Just bought a Panasonic TX36PD50C last Thursday in House of Fraser, Reading. They currently have a Winter Sale on and have knocked £400 of their normal price. (Sale ends 28th January)
So I got it for £1299 with a five year warranty included.
It's being delivered next Tuesday.
I think that is about the cheapest you are going to find one with that kind of warranty. Unless you know different!!
I'll let you know what I think of it once it's all set up and I've had time to play.

Certainly not a bad price - can pick it up about £100 less online without the extra 3 years warrenty. Personally I would never go for an extended warrenty and especially since the Sales of Goods Act as clearly a tv over £1000 should last for at least 5 years.

I hope that you are very happy with your TV when it arrives as I certainly enjoy my tx32pd30

Simcom,

Well done.

That's an excellent price. (I assume it includes the stand?)

In fact, a year ago that would have been unthinkable.

Just goes to show how prices for electronic equipment are gradually dropping.

Perhaps it will be even cheaper in the Easter sale.

But then, if we adopt that philosophy, we'll never buy anything.

(Oh yes, welcome to the Forum. )

Thanks Tight Git. I've been browsing for the last week and decided it was time to join in.
Yes it did include the stand.
It was a toss up between the Panny and Red16V's beloved Toshiba.
Hope I've made the right decision.

Oh No! Just read Red16v repairs TV's for a living.
Does that mean I should have bought the Toshiba. He must know best in his line of work.
Someone reassure me. I'm already panicking and the PD50 has not even arrived yet.

Hi Simcom, don't be 'intimidated' ! I'm sure your Panasonic will be fine. Remember there are lots of things to consider when buying a tv apart from the design of the electronics. Which cabinet design do you prefer ?, what are the connection facilities ? what sort of audio facilites does it have ? will it fit through my front door? etc etc - relax and enjoy it. Regards, yt
