CRT or Smaller HD LCD

Can't decide wether to go for a CRT or a smaller screen high definition LCD. TV's in question are Panasonic TX-32PD50 and the Sony KLV-26HG2. Was thinking that maybe the Sony is more future proof. Would the Sony with an HD feed, component feed or RGB feed, better the Panasonic through its component or RGB inputs? I have only been able to see the Sony with the usual poor quality via rf cable and the picture did not look good at all. After the rave reviews I can only assume this is not the case when fed with a decent source. Also, it takes its high definition feed through the component inputs. Is it possible to feed two high defintion sources into the one set of component inputs?
